2021 SPEED CAPITAL SERIES

Date: Jul 06 2020

January 1, 2019, the vision that is Speed Capital is born! Since that day, the team has spent countless hours analyzing, strategizing, and implementing a plan for what would grow to become the most anticipated series of events for the 2020 track season. Then came Corona and it wasn’t the type that gets its lime! No, this pandemic proceeded to plague the world causing a massive loss of life, employment, health, and on a much smaller scale, the bulk of the 2020 athletic season for all sports professional and amateur alike. Nonetheless, hope still remains for the SC Florida Invitational which has been rescheduled for July 25, 2020; if the conditions are safe, we will embark on the inaugural event as planned.

Looking to the future, 2021 will see Speed Capital pick up exactly where it left off. The series will continue as planned and has expanded to include new locations; Mississippi, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and the DMV have been added to the circuit. Along with the additional locations comes the new Speed Capital Website offers countless features to athletes, coaches, and collegiate recruiters alike.

Participants at each location can look forward to the Speed Capital Experience which brings with it exceptional competition, apparel and accessories, outstanding awards by way of medals and scholarships, as well as, receiving a national ranking against competitors from each of the Speed Capital meets.

Awards include, but are not limited to:

  • $10,000.00 in Scholarship Funding (per annum)
  • $20,000.00 in Club & Community Donations (per annum)
  • Speed Capital Medals: 3 inches in height
  • MVP Trophies: 3 – 5 feet in height

Apparel & Accessories include:

  • Speed Capital Uniforms – Black (National Champs), Red (All-Americans or National Champs, White (participant)
  • Speed Capital Backpacks
  • Speed Capital Sleeves
  • Speed Capital Hoodies

The Ranking Process:

  • Athletes will be sorted by age and ranked against participants in their respective groups. Their time from the Speed Capital meet will be used for this ranking; times ran at other competitions will not be taken into consideration towards their ranking
  • Athletes are welcomed to participate at multiple locations should they see fit or should they fail to hit their desired times or marks in their events.
