This was the first season 2023 Speed Capital invitational outdoor track meet and we took it to South Florida at Davie, Florida. We moved to a one-day meet model and this exposed a few challenges, but we are on top of this to ascertain no future hiccups take place. Our home track for all South Florida meets (Ansin Sports Complex) was unavailable this year due to ongoing renovation to replacement the old track surface. This facility switch presented unforeseen holes on the meet day as the venue was never indicated as double booked and staff resources allocated elsewhere. Being as a first of many encounters, experience, and a meet for this year, we have strategically spent a great deal of time mapping improvements for the next and all upcoming future Speed Capital meets elsewhere in the nation this year. The South Florida demonstrated a great working relation with the outside vendors, for example the security staff. The security staff led by Ms. Lopez was second to none! They worked diligently throughout the day and night to ensure our patrons were comfortable and secured. Kudos to her and her team and we applaud, especially her, for the job well done.
We thank all the Parents, Athletes, Coaches and Clubs for the great support and we in turn promise to provide you with a platform you can best execute your God given talents for these young athletes. Join us in Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday, March 25 for our second track meet for this outdoor season.
